Russia Ukraine war affects on India. Crude oil prices. Ukraine Russia war

The main Russia Ukraine war started is NATO.

Ukraine was a member of the USSR started in the year 1912 and lasted till 1991, and Ukraine is the border country to Russia.

So, In January last year, Ukrainian president Volodymyr Zeleskyy urged US president Joe Biden to let Ukraine join NATO.

Well, what is NATO?

NATO is a North Atlantic treaty organization started in the year 1949 in Washington DC, United States. 28 European countries and 2 North American countries were the members.

So, the main reason behind starting NATO is the " promise to come each other's aid in the event of an armed attack".

Then why Putin is not letting Ukraine join NATO.

Putin claims that the western countries like the United States are trying to intrude on Russia and NATO wants to cease its military activities in eastern Europe then the majority of the countries in Europe get united and Russia remains single. As you know Russia is an enemy to the United States.

So, Putin is not letting Ukraine join Nato.

Here comes the major question, what is India affected by this disruption. Let us see what India imports and exports from Ukraine.

India alone imports 70% of sunflower oil and moreover India imports plastics and polymers.

India exports pharma products. India's exports to Ukraine stood at $510 million and the pharma sector itself contributed to 32% and other like telecom industries, iron, and steel, agro chemicals, coffee.

what India imports and exports from Russia.

Compared with Ukraine, India has 10times more trade with Russia. India's imports from Russia last year were $8.6 Billion.

Major imports were crude oil, petroleum products, coal, fertilizers, and gold.

Yesterday the crude oil touched an all-time high at $100 per barrel since 2014. But in the budget, we expected one barrel costing $70-$75. It will highly affect India. The price of fuel may be skyrocketed in the coming days.

India's exports to Russia stood at $2.5 billion. India exports mobile phones and pharma products to Russia
